hey peeps.. hmm i obviously have to respond to the previous post seeing how it was very related to myself. haha lol. umm but yea.. i reaaallly dun know what i can say that wont either sound "unglam/arrogant" as quoted from biao.. or blatantly 'trying' to be modest. but one thing i can say... yayy!!i finally/actually have a theory about me!!! haha lol

anyways..relaying a msg from biao.. maybe we can do something for nazhar. his birthday is on the 2nd and hari rayas on the 3rd

exams are coming people!!remember the last time u said that!! hahaha i think i can prolly say for sure there are 2 groups of people right now..those who wish tt they could say tt..and those who wish they really didnt have to say tt.. hahaha ..i cant decide whether it feels like ages ago or jus a while ago.. think its cos of the sheer intensity of the A levels.. like how ur entire existence depended on it..and when ur existence depends on something..that something sure means a damn lot. also like how when the A levels were over u felt tt the next exam couldn possibly come anytime soon and it felt like u had forever to relax..and now tt its here again u cant believe tt the A levels were actually done such a long time ago and ur relaxing time is already over.. i dont think im conveying my sentiments adequately here...hmm if anyone seems to know what i mean and feels the same way tt i do, please holler! for now..its back to the grind!!! all the best to everyone who needs it!

Solution to PUNCTUALITY:
- Late person will pay for the meal! or perhaps just a round of drinks.
- If "discussing money hurts relationships" then how about writing an essay on why the person is late. hahahahaha.

to CHIRSTINA'S PRESENCE:
- There is no solution. such is life.

Price pressure hurting Creative

Creative's chairman and chief executive Sim Wong Hoo said this non-discount policy would continue into 2006, even if it meant losing market share.

"We are focusing on profitability," he said.

"We are not going to go aggressively on market share - we need to hold back our appetite and sell at a higher price."

AHH... no chance of it getting cheaper.=/

I want to move out. This house i live in is just a house, not a home. I dread coming home each time. If not for the washing mahine n computer, i could just stay in camp. Maybe rent a small HDB, then can decorate! cool to live in a house of your own. Hostel? thats different. so many limitations, n small too. maybe serviced apartments though.

The Theory of Christina's presence

The theory of Christina's presence states that:

"The arrivability of Funtypeople in any Funty outing is dependent on the arrivability of fellow funty Christina,

as due to her leaving to a faraway country, her presence is therefore to be treasured, and henceforth the turnup will be better than expected."

Simply put,
if she's around, people will arrive.
if she's not, people will smoke out.

Really what.

The Theory of PUNCTUALITY.

What is punctuality anyway. No one is punctual anymore. Only 20% of the people in a group will be 'punctual'. Why is the word in inverted commas? That's because the 20% adhere to the given timing to turn up. BUT. The timing nowsadays are totally redundant. For external reasons, 80% of the people will turn up after the given timing.

And what external reasons? Some reasons are genuinely acceptable. Some reasons are because knowing many will show up late anyway, they dont see a point of showing up by the given time. Some reasons are just no reason at all.

Henceforth- Most of the time, 20% of the people are EARLY. And 80% of the people are PUNCTUAL.

So what is the theory of punctuality?

It simply states that BEING PUNCTUAL and the GIVEN TIMING FOR ARRIVAL of an outing are totally independant of each other.

To be punctual, one must just turn up at the same time as the MAJORITY, the time being a variable.

You know, i actually come up with plenty of theories, but most of them classified. Because the theories are all related to everyone.

Consent

Before having sex, always make sure you have protection. Legal protection. Sign here for the lawyer-laden world of modern intimacy and give your Consent.

Ever play this card game called "Old Maid". Its like "Snap" "Donkey" "Aladin", the kind you can buy at provision shops or bookstores.

It's played by distributing all the cards to all the players. Any pairs in a players hand are to be placed face down. Players then let the person to his left pick a card. Any pairs constructed through the exchanging of cards will be placed face down. A player with no more cards in his hand leaves the game.

There is one card, the "Old Maid" card that does not have a pair. So eventually one player will end up having that card and all other players have left the game. The instructions then say "You may now call her/him Old Maid." It may be a simple game for children but that's just mean and possibly vicious. It is seriously warped to teach little children to call single-senior-ladies names, and that it is shameful to be one, as the game teaches when the loser's forfeit is to be called "Old Maid" by the others.

I played this game when i was small and am guilty as charged. I sincerely apologise.

If You're a Christian, Muslim or Jew - You are Wrong

We live in a twisted world, where right is wrong and wrong reigns supreme. It is a chilling fact that most of the world's leaders believe in nonsensical fairytales about the nature of reality. They believe in Gods that do not exist, and religions that could not possibly be true. We are driven to war after war, violence on top of violence to appease madmen who believe in gory mythologies.

Sushi is nice when there is no raw fish. Ok, raw salmon is edible. And plain soya bean is nicer than almond soya bean. And mulan is not nice! But that is so not the point of this post!

Coming your way this Saturday, 29th October 2005

Occasion: Dinner with the Funties
Time: Dinner time
Venue: Dinner place
Dress code: Black tie event

Ok, so I'm bored but yes, suggestions for dinner place please! no sashimi thank you very much.

Btw, I don't think that Biao has that big an ego la, after all he did already say it was his $200 marksman money. Heh. Can you get another $200 and give me? Then I can also buy the Nano Plus! Or Muvo Slim. I must be more tech-y and start using an mp3 player. My discman is giving way anyway. heh heh.

Taken from MJ- presenting our mascot, the Funty Kitty!

I can hardly believe that there exists such a cute kitten. But anyhow, yeah, so cute! :D

And can you believe this, I'm actually missing hearing the guys talk about army. Haha. I better not regret saying this.

Sunday, October 23, 2005

Helo everyone. Ready for some incoherent MJ-yish babble?

Firstly, Mulan is nicer than Little mermaid, just like Almond soyabean is nicer than.. plain soyabean.

And secondly, lets not overflood the poor lil taggy with an argument ie. sushi stuff. Why not make a post.

"Biao is eating sushi on sunday at a place i cant pronounce. Wins wanna eat sushi too, but sushi doesnt wanna eat her. Chris eats an improper kind of sushi which resembles a hugeass roll for lunch almost everyday. She turns into a cheap tasty 2.10 chicken after that. All of a sudden, 2 raw fish comes into the picture for no reason, and they are incredible! Wins has a tastebud which says that raw fish are an exquisite cuisine. Im not bluffing- She says yah, right! Chris suddenly jumps in and say that food cooked by cavemen taste better than the fire they discover. Only chris can eat fire. Worldwide sushi-lovers are insulted by chris's fire-eating antics, so she apologises. The cavemen are angry so they eat fish and fish are gooooood. Wins forms an equation involving sushi, rawfish and sashimi, and that could make her the best mathematician in the world. Chris ends everything by saying something which would make people think she's smart- that sushi's original topping was raw fish so the authentic sushi is the sashimi ones. Veeery smart. Wow."

Hmm im afraid the above might get me clobbered and clawed but you know me.

Look at biao's post, below this one. It seems like a really harmless decision-making post, of him whether to spend 200 bucks on an mp3 player or save it for later. So innocent, as viewed. With the huge colourful image of the gadget and all, one would oversee the true rationale of this post itself, so subtle, so manipulative. With everyone centred on the 'main' theme of the post, all has failed to realise that they have actually already read and know where he got his 200 bucks, which is from his ATP marksmanship! So this is a successfull attempt to let people know of his marksmanship without actually boasting!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ego, the character of every alpha-male species.

I AM PURE EVIL.

You know i could get slaughtered for this. But what the heck. I'll just get him a nice Birthday present.

Cheers to all funtypeople,
MJ

Should i spend my $200 from ATP marksman on:

or keep it for ORD backpacking hol? hmm hmm hmm... decisions.. argh.. haha..

Under the Sea - Sebastian the Hermit Crab
by Howard Ashman, Alan Menken.

Ariel, listen to me. The human world, it's a mess.
Life under the sea is better than anything they got up there.

The seaweed is always greener
In somebody else's lake
You dream about going up there
But that is a big mistake
Just look at the world around you
Right here on the ocean floor
Such wonderful things surround you
What more is you lookin' for?

Under the sea, under the sea
Darling it's better down where it's wetter
Take it from me
Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun they slave away
While we're devoting full time to floating
Under the sea, ha ha...

Down here all the fish is happy
As after the waves they roll
The fish on the land ain't happy
They sad 'cause they in the bowl!
But fish in the bowl is lucky
They in for a worser fate
One day when the boss get hungry
Guess who goin' be on the plate?

Wo-no, under the sea
Under the sea
Nobody beat us, fry us and eat us
In frickazee
We what the land folks loves to cook
Under the sea we off the hook
We've got no troubles, life is the bubbles
Under the sea (under the sea)
Under the sea (under the sea)
Since life is sweet here, we got the beat here
Naturally (naturally-ee-ee-ee)
Even the sturgeon and the ray
They get the urge and start to play
We've got the spirit, you've got to hear it
Under the sea

The lute play the flute
The carp play the harp
The plaice play the bass and they soundin' sharp
The bass play the brass
The chub play the tub
The fluke is the duke of soul (yeah)
The ray, he can play the lings on the strings
The trout acting out
The blackfish he sings
The smelt and the sprat
They know where it's at
And oh, that blowfish blow!

Yeah, under the sea
Under the sea
When the sardine begin the beguine
It's music to me (music is to me)
What do they got, a lot of sand?
We've got a hot crustacean band
Each little clam here know how to jam here
Under the sea
Each little slug here cutting a rug here
Under the sea
Each little snail here know how to wail here
That's why it's hotter under the water
Yeah, we in luck here down under the muck here
Under the sea

i love the little mermaid..! i say.. one of the best disneys of the many greats =D

Alphaville - Forever Young

Let's dance in style, lets dance for a while
Heaven can wait we're only watching the skies
Hoping for the best but expecting the worst
Are you going to drop the bomb or not?

Let us die young or let us live forever
We don't have the power but we never say never
Sitting in a sandpit, life is a short trip
The music's for the sad men

Can you imagine when this race is won
Turn our golden faces into the sun
Praising our leaders we're getting in tune
The music's played by the mad men

Forever young, I want to be forever young
do you really want to live forever, forever and ever
Forever young, I want to be forever young
do you really want to live forever? Forever young

Some are like water, some are like the heat
Some are a melody and some are the beat
Sooner or later they all will be gone
why don't they stay young

It's so hard to get old without a cause
I don't want to perish like a fleeing horse
Youth's like diamonds in the sun
and diamonds are forever

So many adventures couldn't happen today
So many songs we forgot to play
So many dreams swinging out of the blue
We let them come true

Forever young, I want to be forever young
do you really want to live forever, forever, forever
Forever young, I want to be forever young
do you really want to live forever, forever forever

Forever young, I want to be forever young
do you really want to live forever?

What is this? About Syndication, RSS, and Other Web-Altering Chemicals

Or from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(protocol)
RSS is a family of XML file formats for web syndication used by (amongst other things) news websites and weblogs. The abbreviation is used to refer to the following standards:

* Rich Site Summary (RSS 0.91)
* RDF Site Summary (RSS 0.9 and 1.0)
* Really Simple Syndication (RSS 2.0)

The technology behind RSS allows internet users to subscribe to websites that have provided RSS feeds; these are typically sites that change or add content regularly. To use this technology, users are required to download an aggregation service, which presents new articles in a list, giving a line or two of each article and a link to the full article or post. Unlike subscriptions to pulp-based newspapers and magazines, RSS subscriptions are free.

The RSS formats provide web content or summaries of web content together with links to the full versions of the content, and other meta-data. This information is delivered as an XML file called RSS feed, webfeed, RSS stream, or RSS channel. In addition to facilitating syndication, RSS allows a website's frequent readers to track updates on the site using a news aggregator.

Let's cycle in Singapore!

"Let's cycle in Singapore!" is a term paper by NUS undergraduate Zhang Guanyang. He examines cycling issues in Singapore based on newspaper reports and letters mainly from The Straits Times, 2000-2005, and discusses cycling as a form of transport. It includes an annex with the chronological list of the cycling-related news on which this essay was based.

The paper can be read or downloaded as a pdf here.
