In Russia, 16th–19th century, a unit of mass, about 0.409 512 40 kilogram.1 Sometimes romanized as fount, founte or pfunt. Originating in Muscovy, it did not become the most common mass unit until the 18th century.

Reforms at the end of the 19th century made the funt the mass of a platinum-iridium prototype marked "H 1894".
