yep, the interview is over. There was no essay, and no group interview. For Acc that is. Can't speak for the other courses. (ok, sab just told me Biz is a goup inteview) I went in formal dress as i thought interview and everything... but others were in tshirt jeans so whatever. -_-" Yea anyway just had a chat with one of the professors (there was a sit-in senior student but no contributions from there) for about 1/2 hr. Asked bout why SMU, then why not NTU? What makes me think SMU is better? Told me to talk to students to find out if it suited me. Said different Unis fit different people. Then asked why Acc. But the killer question was what course would i take if there was no restrictions, if my dad was bill gates rich and that kinda thing. And Acc wasn't one of those i chose so he asked why didn't i choose those? Whats so different about my situation now? There's no worry about not getting a job. The top half of each course will definately get one, even the course with e lowest cut-off i.e. Building and Estate Management at NUS has at least that amount of employment waiting for the grads so why worry. Unless of course i expect that i will be the bottom half. Even the bottom 10% of Acc grads, even though they get a job, lose it soon. Then we talked a little about army (the prof was a guards officer), my grades (on whether it was what i expected and nothing on SAT which i thought mattered a lot in SMU), interests (Outdoors!), studying habits (no to mugging). Nothing like what i expected of the me on a chair in the middle of a room in front of a board of interviewers ala ODAC interviews. (haha.) Do i think my bloop mattered? Yes, but i hope not enough. Anyway if it did, then there's NTU. ahha.

After tuesday i'm gonna have one month of Support Duty aka doing things like moving chairs, collecting rations etc. (and weekend guard duty! crap.) and a little free time when no one needs slave labour so i bought "The Tipping Point" some best-seller at Times bookstore and "Asking For Trouble: Tales of Amanda and Saffy" by an 8Days columnist to provide some reading now and then. And Winnie, is Catch-22 nice. If it is could i borrow it when you're done? Oh, please fren me first can, then lend, then can don't fren already... (but you'd have to fren me again to get the book back...)

Bought a pair of asics shoes from a distributor that came to camp. He sells to queensway so its even cheaper, about 40% lower. I have his card, but he only does corporate sales so if any of you want to purchase, you'll have to be in an organisation first. (pe dept, office, coffeeclub, armycamp? ahha)

Went for a run this morning. Ah, the cool morning air and the ground rushing under feet. haha.. Noticed that mostly only middle-aged people were jogging along with me. Do the youths all travel to eastcoast park? Or maybe they're all catching the Zee-monster after a long night of chionging. Saw this father jogging with his son and daughter, both around primary school age. Whoa, a hard task master he his. Start them at such a young age. Taking them agay from the luxuary of sloth. haha..

The TV movie of Mitch Albrom's "5 People You Meet in Heaven" will be on Hallmark CH17 tonight at 9pm. Unfortunately i'll be at camp. Anyway, its a great book and i hope the show will be as good. So take a moment and catch the show ya.
